For many people, faith begins as something they are taught while growing up, but for Thandeka Mngometulu, her relationship with God became real during one of the most difficult moments in her life. Although she had always known about God, it was during a season of confusion, uncertainty and emotional struggle that she experienced her first true encounter with Him.

Feeling overwhelmed and unsure about her future, she decided to pray sincerely from her heart, asking God for guidance, strength and peace. In that moment, she experienced a deep sense of comfort, unlike anything she had ever felt before. It was as though God was reminding her that she was not alone and that He would walk with her through every challenge she faced.

That encounter became a turning point in her life, giving her hope and direction when she needed it most. As her faith continued to grow, God placed supportive and spiritually uplifting people in her life who helped shape her journey.

One of those people was an elderly woman from her church who became a mentor and spiritual mother. The woman constantly encouraged her, prayed with her and taught her more about living a life rooted in faith and trust in God.

Through her wisdom, kindness and guidance, Magagula relationship with God became stronger and more meaningful.

Later in life, she was blessed with another important source of spiritual support when she married a pastor. Through their marriage, her faith deepened even further as her husband continued to encourage and guide her in her walk with God. His support and leadership helped strengthen her spiritual life and inspired her to remain committed to her faith full journey.

Despite facing challenges along the way, Mngometulu says God has remained faithful throughout every season of her life. She believes that through both joyful and difficult moments, God has continued to provide her with strength, wisdom, peace and direction.

Today, she remains grateful for the relationship she has built with God and for the many ways He continues to guide and bless her life. Her story serves as a reminder that sometimes the most powerful encounters with God happen during life’s hardest moments, when hope and faith are needed the most.
