MANZINI – Jenny Internet has committed E570 000 towards providing free high-speed wireless internet connectivity throughout the nine-day Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF), strengthening its partnership with the country’s premier business exhibition.
The sponsorship was presented by Jenny Internet Business Account Manager Nathi Dlamini, while Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) Chief Executive Officer Sibani Mngomezulu received the sponsorship on behalf of the parastatal.
The partnership marks the third consecutive year that Jenny Internet has supported the EITF as its Wi-Fi sponsor. The company said its contribution was not simply about providing internet access, but about using connectivity to link businesses and consumers to opportunities.
Jenny Internet said the E570 000 sponsorship would provide wireless connectivity for exhibitors and visitors throughout the Trade Fair.
“Reliable internet will allow exhibitors and visitors to stay connected with their customers, access digital platforms, process online transactions, communicate with their teams, promote their businesses on social media, and access important information while at the Trade Fair,” the company said.
For exhibitors, the connectivity is expected to extend their reach beyond their physical stands by enabling them to showcase their products and services digitally. Visitors will also be able to share their experiences, engage with businesses and remain connected during the event.
Receiving the sponsorship on behalf of EIPA, Mngomezulu welcomed the continued support from Jenny Internet, describing the partnership as an investment in the success of the EITF and the empowerment of local enterprises.
EIPA noted that the E570 000 contribution represented a direct investment in the Trade Fair and demonstrated a shared commitment to trade, business development and digital innovation in Eswatini.
The free Wi-Fi will be available across the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre for the full nine-day exhibition period.
According to EIPA, the connectivity will particularly benefit exhibitors by enabling real-time digital transactions, digital point-of-sale operations, virtual product demonstrations and communication with clients and suppliers.
Thousands of visitors are also expected to benefit from the service, including through access to digital maps, live social media engagement and interaction with smart stalls.
Small businesses operating at the Trade Fair, including food vendors and artisans, as well as media personnel and event contractors, will be able to use the connectivity to process mobile payments and maintain business operations during the nine-day event.
EIPA said the connectivity would also be used to improve future Trade Fairs through the collection of visitor feedback.
Visitors will be encouraged to scan QR codes placed around the venue and complete an online survey covering product feedback, booth engagement and overall satisfaction. EIPA said the information gathered would help shape and improve future trade events.
The partnership comes as EIPA places greater emphasis on digital inclusion, with the authority describing broadband access as a critical driver of trade, education and economic participation.
Jenny Internet said its continued involvement in the EITF was part of its broader belief that connectivity should enable opportunities.
“We are delighted to play our part in making the Eswatini International Trade Fair a more connected and digitally enabled experience,” the company said.
The EITF will be hosted at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre, with EIPA inviting emaSwati, regional partners and international visitors to attend the nine-day event, make use of the free Wi-Fi and support exhibitors.
