MANZINI – Former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng ‘Itu’ Khune helped the All Stars Legends beat the Kingdom Celebrity Club 2-1 in a match played at the Mavuso Sports Centre.

The match which was a curtain-raiser for the 8Bet Trade Fair Cup grand opening was sponsored by 8Bet to tune of E5 000, which was a winner-takes all.

The 2010 World Cup Bafana Bafana goal-custodian was also joined by the legendary Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns midfield maestro Oupa ‘Ace’ Manyisa. The Legends defeated the local entertainers 2-1 to claim the E5 000 winners cheque, in a match which was watched by Mamelodi Sundowns Super fan Bullie ‘Queen of Vosho’ James.

In a post-match interview the ball distributor specialist said he was happy to return to the country, courtesy of 8Bet.

“I am happy to return in Eswatini as I linked up with the likes of Dennis ‘Yuki’ Masina and Tony Tsabedze, who we played against in the South African league,” Khune said.

He also stated that the country is blessed with talented players and is hopeful that more players will soon get contracts with Betway Premiership clubs.

It is worth noting that the first match of this year’s 8Bet Trade Fair Cup was between South Africa businesswoman Shauwn ‘MaMkhize’ Mkhize’s club Mbabane Highlanders and Ubombo Sugar.
