MBABANE – Eswatini’s CAF Confederation Cup representatives Green Mamba expect Angolan side Clube Desportivo 1º de Agosto tomorrow ahead of Saturday’s preliminary round showdown.

The first-leg of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) clash is scheduled to take place at the Somhlolo National Stadium at 3pm. Entry for local supporters has been set at US$1.5 (E30), a price confirmed by Green Mamba Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ntuthuko Dlamini.

Although specific details regarding the visiting delegation’s full arrival schedule remained sparse at the time of compiling this report, excitement is already building for the crucial opening leg.

The return fixture will see the Correctional Services outfit travel to Luanda, Angola, a week later. Green Mamba have already begun organiSing their away support, issuing an invitation via their official Facebook page for interested fans to register for the return leg. The road trip to Luanda is priced at US$200 (E3 200 in Eswatini currency), covering travel costs for supporters backing the side abroad.

Green Mamba are in chase of a historic place in the group stages of Africa’s second-tier inter-club competition. The Angolans, on the other hand, are on of the powerhouses in the continent, reaching the CAF Champions League semi-finals in 2018.
