MBABANE-Bestselling author, broadcaster and prominent HIV activist Nozibele Mayaba has taken her promotional campaign straight to the streets over the weekend.
Refusing to sit back and let traditional schedules do all the heavy lifting, Mayaba spent the weekend personally navigating bustling local venues to engage directly with her supporters. Her ground-level hustle notably featured a vibrant presence at the Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF), a rightful place where exhibitors gathered to market their products. Mayaba shared with the public the flyers for the event.
Mayaba is widely known for several major media projects, digital platforms and live hosting engagements that span podcasting, television and intimate interactive events
Beyond connecting with her growing readership, Mayaba’s weekend itinerary doubled as a celebration of the kingdom’s rich creative scene. As she moved through various places, she crossed paths with several notable local artists, linking up with the likes of Sphiwo Ndoni already in the line-up for the book launch, Gospel heavyweight Phathwakahle and celebrated powerhouse Nothando Hlophe.
The engagements sparked immediate excitement online, particularly regarding Mayaba’s ongoing preparations for her major event scheduled for October 3. Taking to social media to share highlights from her interactions, Mayaba made no secret of her high aspirations for the official launch line-up, explicitly sharing her wish to see Nothando Hlophe share the stage.
“We are still praying for divine intervention for her to join us on October 3. She is currently booked”, she said.
Mayaba also got the chance to visit for the second time the Manzini Metropolitan Church where she will be hosting the upcoming event.
