MANZINI – Fans stole the spotlight at Mavuso Exhibition Centre on Day 7 of the Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF) as vocalist Eemoh delivered a lively performance.

The ‘Cela Ningshuthen’ hitmaker connected with the audience, with fans singing along to Cela Ningshutheni, Vula Sekele and Abangifuni.

His set brought together children joining older revellers in following every word of his songs.

Eemoh moved around the stage and interacted with fans, creating a relaxed atmosphere that encouraged more people to join the celebration.

Phones were raised as patrons captured moments from the performance, while others sang and danced throughout the set.

The younger fans, became one of the features of the performance.

Their response appeared to surprise Eemoh, who expressed his happiness at seeing children familiar with his music.“I am really happy to see that my music is loved in the Kingdom,” he said, highlighting the children who sang his songs word for word.

The vocalist admitted that he was unsure how some of the younger listeners discovered his music, but their response gave him motivation.

He explained that the reception showed his music could reach audiences beyond older listeners and the youth.

For Eemoh, the response was a sign that his work is being accepted in the country, encouraging him to continue creating and performing for wider audiences.

The crowd reaction was captured by fun lover Thabiso Dlamini who felt the performance ended just as the show was getting started.“I felt like the party just started, unfortunately the fun ended early,” Dlamini said.

The EITF entertainment programme continued to give local performers room to share the stage with visiting acts.

More than 70 per cent of this year’s entertainment line-up consists of local artists, keeping local talent at the centre of the fair’s entertainment offering.

Before Eemoh’s appearance, Criss Tino kept patrons engaged with familiar songs, drawing singing and movement from the crowd.

King Lior followed with a performance mixing hip-hop and R&B, earning a positive response from those gathered around the stage.

Comedian Darren then brought a different mood to the programme, using humour to keep patrons laughing after the musical performances.

His set added variety to an evening that moved between music, crowd interaction and comedy.
