MBABANE – Nobuhle Dlamini Foundation has been appointed as the preferred operator of the MTN Golf Driving Range, marking a new chapter for the facility.
The top golfer announced the big news on her social media platforms on Wednesday, describing the appointment as an exciting milestone for the foundation and an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the community.
“I am delighted and deeply honoured to announce that the Nobuhle Dlamini Foundation has been appointed as the preferred operator of the MTN Golf Driving Range,” she posted.
The Times Sports Desk has been made to understand that the appointment follows a tender process and presentations for the operation of the MTN Clubhouse and Golf Driving Range facilities.
According to the outcome of the process, MTN Eswatini was impressed by the foundation’s vision for developing the driving range, its community-focused approach and plans to create an accessible and engaging golfing environment.
The proposal was also found to align with MTN Eswatini’s objectives of promoting recreation, wellness and community engagement.

However, the telecommunications company has resolved to separate the management of the facilities into two components, namely Clubhouse Restaurant Operations and Golf Driving Range Operations.
This means the foundation’s appointment is exclusively for the operation and management of the Golf Driving Range, while the clubhouse restaurant will be operated under a separate arrangement.
MTN’s Facilities Management team is expected to engage the foundation over the coming weeks to finalise the operational framework, including responsibilities, access arrangements, asset utilisation, maintenance obligations and coordination between the two facilities.
Access to the driving range is expected to be granted at the beginning of December 2026 to allow the foundation to mobilise and prepare for the commencement of operations, subject to the finalisation of operational and commercial arrangements.
MTN will also convene meetings involving the foundation and its Facilities Management, Procurement, Finance and Security departments to finalise commercial structures, operating procedures, branding, governance and reporting requirements.
Reacting to the appointment, Dlamini said the opportunity would allow the foundation to contribute to the growth of golf, promote wellness and create an accessible environment for the community.
She also expressed gratitude to MTN Eswatini for recognising the foundation’s vision and entrusting it with the opportunity.
“We look forward to building a facility that inspires participation, nurtures talent and creates lasting value. This is more than an achievement; it is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference. The journey begins!” she posted.
