MBABANE – The Eswatini Events Managers and Promoters Association (EEMPA) has thanked organisers of the different shows that were hosted in the kingdom the previous weekend.

Banele Dlamini, an EEMPA member, said that the past weekend had only three shows, all artists that were booked came and delivered for the audience. From all the shows hosted at Mdzimba, Malkerns and Pigg’s Peak, on behalf of the association, I have to give it to all organisers for upholding standards and respecting all regulations and no issues were reported to us,” he said.

Dlamini also praised event organisers for maintaining a peaceful atmosphere within the events industry by far. “Honestly, everything has been going well this year concerning events. There are no significant issues that have arisen and we really appreciate it. This goes to show that everyone involved is doing justice to their role and we hope it will continue that way,” he said.

EEMPA aims to regulate all events, within the country. Established with several objectives, the association seeks to foster mutual cooperation and respect among event managers and promoters, organise training seminars and secure sponsorship.

The EEMPA policy stipulates that event promoters are responsible for the successful planning, coordination and execution of events that meet both goals and expectations.

“The event promoter is responsible for negotiating contracts with service providers, monitoring event activities for compliance with regulations and conducting post-event evaluations to identify areas for improvement,” reads a section of the policy.

EEMPA encourages event organisers to comply with these regulations, not only to ensure the quality of their events, but also to enhance the overall experience for attendees. With the festive season upon us, the demand for crossover shows is expected to rise, creating an excellent opportunity for local talent and promoters.

Additionally, the association believes that proper planning and coordination are essential to avoid potential conflicts and misunderstandings that could mar the festive spirit.

With various crossover events scheduled across the kingdom, from music concerts to cultural performances, the EEMPA urges all promoters to act responsibly. This not only ensures compliance with the local regulations but also uplifts the reputation of Eswatini as a vibrant events destination.
