MBABANE – Eswatini has recorded its first medal from the ongoing maiden African Schools Sports Games in Algeria.
Boxer Khetselo Mziyako had something to cheer about this past Tuesday, despite losing to his opponent from Tunisia in the 54kg weight category. This was disclosed by the Eswatini Boxing (EBA) team Coach, Nkosinathi ‘Ras Fela’ Dlamini.
“Khetselo’s first opponent, a Namibian boxer, failed to enter the ring, resulting in a walkover victory for him. He then proceeded to the semi-finals, where he lost on points to the Tunisian boxer. Despite this, he will receive a bronze medal for his achievement,” Dlamini said yesterday.
