MBABANE – The Municipal Council of Manzini is set to launch a new pageant for the region, where young girls will compete for a prestigious title.

This was confirmed by Stanley Dlamini, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC).

The information came after this publication contacted Richard Dlamini, a member of the organising team for the municipal pageant. He stated that ENCAC would be responsible for running the event.

In an interview, Stanley Dlamini explained that the Municipal Council of Manzini will oversee the pageant, as ENCAC is currently managing regional Miss Teen competitions.

“They have now removed us from their poster as they will be doing the pageant independently. The pageant will be called Miss Manzini and will serve as a national pageant,” Dlamini said.

Prior to Dlamini’s statement, Richard Dlamini clarified that they currently have a list of interested candidates from across Manzini, though he was unable to specify how many candidates had already registered.
