MBABANE – Century Fashions Managing Director Asraful Alam Chowdhury has once again injected a E50 000 financial boost to the ECA.

He announced this yesterday during a media briefing held at Tandoori Restaurant, Corporate Place in Mbabane.

The sponsorship will go towards the successful staging of the Eswatini vs Mozambique Men’s T20 International Bilateral Series. The event is being hosted by the Eswatini Cricket Association (ECA).

He contributed E30 000 when the national team participated in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men’s T20 World Cup Sub-Regional Africa Qualifiers C held in Nigeria last year.

The three-day series runs from today until Sunday at Malkerns Country Club. The final one will play on Sunday at 1:30pm, followed by a closing ceremony. “This series, sanctioned by the International Cricket Council (ICC), is a historic one for Eswatini. It will contribute to the official ICC Men’s T20 Team Rankings and ensure that our players gain valuable international exposure. We are proud to be associated with such a milestone event, one that not only grows the sport, but also raises the profile of our nation globally,” he said.

ECA President Saif Ullah and Vice President Jafor Imam, through Ullah, lauded the initiative.
