MBABANE – South African Afro-Pop artist Mlindo The Vocalist has formally apologised to fans in Eswatini, after he failed to appear for a headline performance at the Exclusive Valentine’s event held at Espinho Restaurant and Bar last Saturday.

The singer, known for his hit song ‘AmaBlesser’ was scheduled to perform on the evening of  February 14. His absence left many couples and fans who had attended the special event disappointed and seeking an explanation for the no-show. In the immediate aftermath, the management of Espinho Restaurant and Bar addressed the situation via a public statement on their official Facebook page.

The venue acknowledged the artist’s failure to appear and informed patrons of the uncertainty surrounding the cancellation. “We are still awaiting an official statement and clarification from the artist’s management,” the statement read in part.

To appease disappointed ticket holders, the management at Espinho assured patrons that a make-up show would be organised in lieu of the missed performance. A day following the venue’s statement, a confirmation video from the artist himself was published on the same social media page.

In the clip, Mlindo The Vocalist directly addressed his fans in Eswatini and offered his apology. “I want to apologise to all of my fans in Eswatini who were disappointed that I did not come to perform, we had a challenge with the rain and we could not come.
