MBABANE – Eswatini’s premier golfer Nobuhle Dlamini has firmly established herself among the elite on the Sunshine Ladies Tour.

The Lobamba-born golfer has clinched a coveted spot in the Investec Order of Merit top 10. Following her latest outing at the Jabra Ladies Classic, Dlamini has surged to ninth position, accumulating 264.20 points in what has been a masterclass of consistency and grit against a world-class field.

Her ascent into the top 10 is the result of a gruelling four-tournament swing, where she repeatedly found herself in the hunt for silverware. Dlamini opened her campaign with a statement of intent, securing a superb T4 finish at the SuperSport Ladies Open. She then navigated a testing weekend at the NTT Data Ladies Pro-Am, where she showed great resilience to claim position 25. Not to be deterred, the Eswatini star rediscovered her clinical edge at the Standard Bank Ladies Open, charging up the leaderboard to secure another impressive top four finish.

Most recently, she maintained that high-octane form at the Jabra Ladies Classic, where a composed performance saw her finish in fifth position, banking the vital points needed to cement her place among the season’s frontrunners.

The Order of Merit serves as the tour’s definitive barometer of success, acting as a season-long points race that rewards endurance rather than just a single weekend of glory.

For a professional like Dlamini, being ranked in the top 10 is a strategic masterstroke; it not only offers significant prestige, but also serves as a gateway to high-stakes opportunities.

Maintaining this position is essential for securing exemptions into major international showpieces, including the Women’s Scottish Open and the AIG Women’s Open, while keeping her in the hunt for a share of the massive E1.25 million Investec bonus pool awarded at the season’s end. By staying within touching distance of the leaders, Dlamini has positioned herself as a serious contender as the tour moves into its business end.
