MBABANE – Futi’s has once again committed E35 000, marking two decades since sponsoring the Nkhaba Promotion League.

Business representative Boniface Mdluli announced this sponsorship recently at Sigwaca House. This was a double event where the 2025/26 champions in the league were officially crowned.

Majotini Citizens earned E7 500 for showing mettle in the A-Division, while Mguleni bagged E2 000 for winning the B-Division.

“We wished to increase the package, but times are tough with the rise of prices in most things. As a result, the sponsorship for the new season stands at E35 000,” Mdluli said.

He further lauded the performance by teams under this league in their recent season.

“Congratulations to the champions as dedication has paid off for them. Looking at where they started it calls for commitment, hard work, patience and teamwork to name a few. To the other teams as well keep, on pushing hard. One day it will pay off,” he said.

Meanwhile, Futi’s Operations Manager Mandla Dlamini commended the behaviour at Nkhaba.

“It is now one year with the company for me. I work a lot with the HRFA Secretary who keeps me updated on proceedings of this league. It gives us delight to associate ourselves with a violence-free game. Nothing hurts more than having your brand associated with violence,” he remarked.

Hhohho Regional Football Association (HRFA) Chairman Dr Comfort Shongwe expressed gratitude for the renewed partnership.

“It has been a long journey with Futi’s. It looks like our marriage does not have cracks. There are a number of players produced here for the premier league and now some even play internationally. That shows how much impact the company has by not only feeding our soul, but producing leaders as well,” Shongwe remarked.

Nkhaba Promotion League Chairman Nelson Dlamini shared the same sentiments.

“It is my greatest pleasure to stand before you today as chairman. This day marks 20 years since the league was sponsored by Futi’s. This is a milestone to us as a league,” he said. The event was also attended by players and some club directors.
