MBABANE — Eswatini giants Mbabane Swallows have secured renewed backing from Eclipse as they navigate a crucial rebuilding period.
The partnership renewal comes at a time when the capital city giants are still searching for new investment after their pursuit of a potential investor from the Democratic Republic of Congo collapsed.
For Swallows, the continued commitment from Eclipse provides a welcome measure of stability as the club prepares for another campaign in Eswatini football.
Eclipse will continue supporting the Red and White with daily training and matchday meals, while also providing playing and training kits.
The practical support comes after a turbulent period at the club, which has been affected by internal challenges and infighting.
At a time when Swallows have been looking for new partners, Eclipse has instead chosen to stay with the club — a decision that could prove important as the giants seek to rebuild.
The partnership also comes as Swallows prepare for action in the 8Bet Trade Fair Cup, with the seven-time Eswatini league champions scheduled to face Rangers on September 1 at Mavuso Sports Centre.
The competition provides an early opportunity for the Mbabane giants to assess their squad ahead of the new domestic season.
