MBABANE – Could Nsingizini Hotspurs attacking midfielder Quality Dlamini be the sixth local player to join Zimbabwean teams?
This comes after reports that the former Sisonkhe star player is heavily linked with Zimbabwean Castle Lager Premier Soccer League outfit Simba Bhora. According to the source, the 23-year-old player is not only linked with Simba Bhora, but Hardrock have also enquired about him, though it is Simba Bhora who are leading the race to secure the Shiselweni-based side’s player.
“Simba Bhora are leading the race to sign the player after his stellar performance in the CAF Champions League two-legged preliminary games,” the source said.
The source stated that Dlamini captured the attention of Simba Bhora and Hardrock in the first leg which was played in Zimbabwe, while the former scouts travelled to the country to watch him at Somhlolo National Stadium. Nsingizini were eliminated by Zimbabwean giants Scottland after a 1-0 aggregate score from the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League first preliminary round.
“They are now waiting for Nsingizini to give them the price for the player as they want him for the new season,” the source said.
This was confirmed by Keiz Sport Management Director Kuda Garufu, who stated that the player is contracted to them and they are looking at good opportunities for him as he is still young and has a good future ahead.
“Yes, it is true that Quality is wanted by a number of clubs in Zimbabwe, but we recommended him to Simba Bhora because we want him to have more game time compared to the other clubs,” Garufu said.

He said the challenge he is facing now is that the leadership of the Shiselweni-based side has not yet returned to him to state their price.
“I got hold of one official who was at first reluctant to engage with me, but after I sent him my details, he said he was going to come back to me, but still he hasn’t,” he said.
Garufu said as a professional player’s agent, they know that Dlamini is still contracted to the Mandla Qhogi-coached side and they are fully aware that the teams interested in signing him will have to compensate Nsingizini with training compensation.
“I think the challenge with Nsingizini now is that the registration window is closing soon in Eswatini, so they will have a challenge in finding his replacement,” he said.
The agent stated that initially, he had engaged with three South African clubs, but they told him that the player should first play in Zimbabwe for a season so that they can monitor him.
“Eswatini is full of talent and in future, I want to tap into more players for international contracts,” he added.
Meanwhile, the MTN Premier League back-to-back champions Public Relations Officer (PRO) Sibusiso ‘Mnotfo’ Dlamini said he was not aware of the player’s proposed move to Zimbabwe.
“I will have to find out from the president and revert to you,” Mnotfo said.
Should the deal materialise, Quality will join the likes of Neliswa ‘Tiger’ Dlamini, Sambulo ‘Masoso’ Simelane, Yeki Khumalo and Thubelihle Dlamini, all from Hardrock, as well as Kwakhe ‘Stopper’ Thwala, who plies his trade with Scottland and Newman Philiso, who is in the books of Agama FC.
