MBABANE – Amapiano superstar Zee Nxumalo has once again affirmed her Eswatini roots following her energetic appearance at the Eswatini Farmers Market.
Opening her set with the viral hit track Ngithathiwe, Nxumalo switched things up at the Malkerns Country Club by serenading patrons with a Maskandi set that brought a fresh flavour to the day’s festivities.
Following her performance, fans swarmed her vehicle requesting photographs. In a brief interview with journalists asking about her heritage, Nxumalo confirmed her Swati origins.
” Yes I am from Eswatini, from Ka-Hlatsi,” she said.
Nxumalo added that she was humbled by the audience’s enthusiastic reception, noting how the crowd sang along word for word to most of her songs.
Beyond music, the 23-year-old artist continues to expand her commercial profile. She recently starred in a major McDonald’s MC Wrap advertisement campaign, showcasing four distinct flavours while highlighting her music, fashion sense and playful personality. She shared the campaign across her social media platforms, encouraging fans to vote for their favourite wrap using the fast-food brand’s mobile application.
This campaign follows another high-profile partnership with NIVEA Luminous 630 Skin Glow, which focuses on promoting messages of self-expression and body confidence.
Her rising commercial appeal has also caught the attention of fashion and lifestyle media, culminating in a recent cover feature for Glamour South Africa. The milestone places her among an elite group of young African entertainers attracting major brand endorsements.
