MBABANE – FNB Eswatini has reopened its renovated Matsapha Branch, with the refurbishment aimed at improving customer experience, streamlining service delivery and accommodating the growing banking needs of individuals and businesses.

The branch, which underwent renovations following a partial closure announced in August, has been revamped to provide a modern banking environment while optimising internal processes and the layout to improve customer convenience.

Matsapha is one of the bank’s high-traffic service points, serving a growing customer base in and around the industrial town, including personal and business banking clients.

FNB Eswatini Chief Operating Officer (COO) Thandeka Dlamini said the upgrade demonstrated the bank’s commitment to innovation, accessibility and delivering a world-class banking experience.

“Matsapha is one of our high-traffic service points, supporting both personal and business customers. As customer needs continue to evolve, we recognised the opportunity to reimagine the branch experience and invest in a space that better serves our customers,” Dlamini said.

She said the refurbishment was intended to ensure that customers received convenient and efficient services in an environment that reflected the bank’s service standards.

“This upgrade ensures that every customer who walks through our doors experiences the high standard of service, convenience and care that FNB is committed to delivering,” she added.

The reopening comes as financial institutions continue to invest in their service channels to meet changing customer expectations, with banks increasingly combining digital solutions with physical branches to serve customers with different banking needs.

According to Dlamini, the Matsapha refurbishment forms part of FNB Eswatini’s broader strategy to strengthen both its digital and physical banking capabilities.

She said that while the bank continued to expand and improve its digital banking solutions, it remained committed to maintaining an accessible and relevant branch network.

“We understand that our customers engage with us in different ways, depending on their needs and circumstances. As we continue to expand and enhance our digital banking solutions, we remain equally committed to investing in our branch network to ensure that banking services remain accessible, convenient and relevant for all emaSwati,” Dlamini said.

She said the bank’s objective was to meet customers where they were and provide seamless banking experiences across its various service channels.

The upgraded Matsapha Branch will continue to offer FNB’s full range of sales and service offerings, including account opening, card replacement and account maintenance.

Customers will also retain access to the adjacent ATM Lobby, which has an increased number of self-service devices for cash deposits and withdrawals.

The additional self-service capacity is expected to provide customers with more options for conducting routine transactions, while the branch continues to handle services requiring direct assistance.

The refurbishment reflects the bank’s continued investment in its physical infrastructure alongside digital banking, with the aim of providing customers with a choice of channels through which to access financial services.

For businesses operating in Matsapha, one of Eswatini’s key industrial and commercial centres, access to banking services remains important for managing everyday financial transactions and meeting operational requirements.

FNB Eswatini said the revamped branch was designed to respond to the needs of both individual and business customers as their banking requirements evolve.
