SA’s Chymamusique features !Sooks on new album

MBABANE – South African DJ and Producer Chymamusique featured local musician and producer !Sooks on his new album titled ‘Musique collaborated’. 

The song also featured Deep House powerhouse Glen Lewis. Born Collen Mmotla, popularly known as Chymamusique, he started his musical career in the early 2000s as a pianist before becoming a DJ. His third studio album, ‘Musique’, released in 2022, debuted at number one in South Africa. Chymamusique has performed internationally and shared stages with DJs and producers including Vinny Da Vinci, Ralf Gum, Brazo Wa Afrika, Glen Lewis, QB Smith, Charles Webster and Atjazz. In music production, he has worked with Kaylow, DJ Fresh, Anané Vega, Monique Bingham, Brazo wa Afrika, Brian Temba, George Lesley and Ree Morris.  !Sooks was featured on the track titled ‘Oiled machine’ and the album is now available on digital stores. According to Chymamusique, the new project is expected to last for years. “It’s out on all platforms.

Please do not rush it, give it time, it’s meant to carry us through at least three years,” he said. The album debuted on the ‘Top 5 SA Apple Music’ album charts for the first time ever this past weekend.  During an interview with this publication, !Sooks shared how Chymamusique approached him.
