Nsingizini won 4-1 on penalties

MANZINI –  TotalEnergies CAF-bound Nsingizini Hotspurs advanced to the 2025 8Bet Trade Fair Cup Last 4 after defeating Malanti Chiefs 4-1 on penalties in a game played here yesterday.

The Premier League  returnees found themselves in the Last Eight after dethroning defending champions Young Buffaloes on Sunday after penalties. Nsingizini Hotspurs on the other side, had to scrape past rookies Tambankulu Celtics with a lone strike from Sambulo ‘Masoso’ Simelane.

The game started on a low note, as the sides failed to make clear-cut chances.

The first chance came when the game was 15 minutes in, when Malanti’s Gift Nameng’s in-swing corner was tipped for yet another corner, by Felizwe Vilakati. Just a minute before half time, Nsingizini Hotspurs’ newly-unveiled Quality Dlamini’s telling pass was met by Yeki ‘Madumane’ Khumalo’s shot, which comfortably  ended in the arms of Bongiswa ‘Khune’ Dlamini. Nothing could separate the two sides at the end of the first 45 minutes as referee Thulani Sibandze rested the teams.

The first five minutes of the second stanza saw Nsingizini engaging a top gear as they piled pressure on ‘Bafana Bemboyi’ defence in search of the elusive opener.
