Mbabane – The long-running ownership saga at Mbabane Swallows has been reignited.

A faction of the club’s leadership visited the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) offices, seeking to seize control of the team.

Mbabane Swallows (PTY) Limited, headed by Bhekithemba Ginindza, is demanding that the PLE intervenes in their dispute with the current management, led by Acting President Absalom ‘Mvana’ Ngwenya.

The group claims that an agreement was reached before the end of the last season for them to take over ownership and operations of the club. According to Vusi Sibisi, a representative for the group, a letter was sent to the PLE on September 12, 2025, to formalise the transition.

However, upon their arrival at Sigwaca House, the PLE headquarters, they were informed that Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Pat ‘Kungumusa’ Vilakati was unavailable.

Sibisi alleges that PLE officials refused to acknowledge their letter and stated that the organisation did not recognise Mbabane Swallows (PTY) Limited.
