LOBAMBA – A lucrative payout is reportedly on the cards for former Sihlangu Coach Zdravko Logarusic, following the termination of his contract with the Eswatini Football Association (EFA).

Sources close to the situation suggest that Logarusic is set to receive a two-month severance package, in line with the terms of his contract. With his monthly salary reported to be around E60 000, this would see the Croatian tactician walk away with a sum of E120 000.

While the exact date for the payment remains unconfirmed, further allegations indicate that the EFA has already purchased a one-way ticket for Logarusic to return to his homeland.

The separation comes after a year tenure with the Eswatini national team. An impeccable source revealed that Logarusic’s failure to secure a single victory in 14 matches was the primary reason for his departure.

His winless streak included games in the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and FIFA World Cup qualifiers, as well as the HollywoodBets Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) games.

Following back-to-back losses in the World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon and Libya, the EFA’s top brass tasked a three-member committee with a performance review. A subsequent meeting at Sigwaca House resulted in a mutual agreement to part ways, as affirmed by EFA Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Frederick Mngomezulu.
