MBABANE — Lesotho’s Red Skins, who are hosting an open volleyball tournament from this Friday up until Sunday, have already made E28 800 from registration fees.

The club revealed that a total of 24 teams have registered for the tournament, with each paying a fee of E1 200, which equates to E28 800 raised so far.

The tournament will feature a number of volleyball teams from Eswatini, including Zakhele Ladies, Eco Waters, Bob Cats, Scorpion Ladies, Correctional Sunrise (both male and female) and Ace Angels.

With teams from four countries — Lesotho as the host, Botswana, Eswatini and South Africa — the event will have a significant international presence.

Among the 24 registered teams, at least 16 are male clubs. Ladies have a fair representation of up to eight teams.

Thabelang Leokaoke, the Tournament Director and Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the Redskins Volleyball Club, shared that the primary goal is to promote elite volleyball competition and foster unity through sport in southern Africa.
