MBABANE – The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) has announced the appointment of Sifiso ‘Nuro’ Ntibane as the interim Head Coach for Sihlangu.
This follows the termination of Croatian Zdravko Logarusic’s contract. In a press statement, the EFA confirmed that Ntibane will oversee the senior men’s national team for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers. He will be assisted by Mbabane Highlanders Head Coach Ernest Mavuso, as exclusively hinted by this publication yesterday.
The EFA stated that a ‘mutual agreement was reached’ to end Logarusic’s tenure, despite two months remaining on his contract.
The association extended its gratitude to the former head coach for his contribution to the national team and wished him well in his future endeavours.
“In view of the above developments, the EFA Executive Committee has on this Monday, September 22, 2025, met and decided that the current Assistant Coach of the national team, Sifiso Ntibane is appointed the Acting Head Coach for the forthcoming and remaining FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers matches scheduled for October 2025,” the statement read.
The rest of the national team’s technical and management staff will remain unchanged. Preparations for the qualifiers are set to begin tomorrow, with Ntibane expected to announce his squad today.
