MBABANE – The culture prize presentation will be hosted today at Manzini Arts Centre.
This was revealed by Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Stanley Dlamini, during an interview with this publication. Dlamini was addressing a question posed by this publication which tried to ascertain if culture activities were left out as part of the recently launched Tinkhundla Talent Search. He said culture was not left out.
“It has not been left out, we actually launched it early this year in June. We visited all the regions of the kingdom such as Ncesi, Malindza, Nhlangano, Nhlambeni, Dlangeni and Malindza. In these places, we were doing eliminations. The teams which made it through the eliminations are the ones who participated at the Eswatini International Trade Fair,” Dlamini said. He further said they will do the prize presentation today. “Today, we will be doing prize presentations for the winners. They will share the grand prize which is E150 000 as announced during the launch in June,” he said.
National recording studio to open in Manzini
As reported in our publication dated July 17, 2025, ENCAC was nearing the completion of a recording studio in Manzini.
ENCAC CEO has now revealed they will be officially opening the studio today in Manzini at 8am. “The studio will be officially opened today after it was being constructed for a while,” he said. The studio is situated at the Cathedral Complex opposite St Theresa’s Primary School. The project involves acoustic treatment, which includes rockwool insulation, resilient channel installation, rockwool covering fabric dressing and the manufacturing of cloud and wall panels.
