MBABANE – South African seasoned designer Thula Sindi has selected two local designers to sell in his store in South Africa.

During this year’s Standard Bank Luju Food and Lifestyle Festival, the South African designer revealed that he would be scouting five designers who will work with him and get an opportunity to sell at his shop in South Africa. Sindi was the headliner of the fashion component of the festival.

During an interview with this publication, he shared that he has already selected five designers, with two of them being from Eswatini. “Yes we did select five brands that showcased at Standard Bank Luju Food and Lifestyle Festival. These brands are Black Degree, Khokho, Xhigubu, Thethana and Zyle Clothing from South Africa,” he said.

Black Degree and Khokho are the only local brands from the five brands which he has selected. Sindi has been ranked in the top tier of South African fashion designers. His client base boasts women of consequence such as Dr Precious Moloi-Motsepe, Terry Pheto, Azania Mosaka, Penny Lebyane, Liezel van der Westhuizen and Jena Dover to name a few.

Also attracting international appeal, the Thula Sindi brand was reported in Elle Magazine as having had The Williams’ sisters, Serena and Venus, fighting over a Thula Sindi skirt at a boutique in Parkhurst, Johannesburg during a recent trip to South Africa.
