MBABANE – The Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) has finally revealed the 2025/26 MTN Premier League prize breakdown for the new season.

According to the prize breakdown released through the Office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Pat ‘Kungumusa’ Vilakati, this year’s champions will take home an increased package as compared to last season’s winners.

The 2025/26 league champions will be awarded a prize of E1.1 million, which is E100 000 more than the purse of defending champions Nsingizini Hotspurs.

The Shiselweni-based outfit, which has been recently eliminated from the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League by Tanzania giants Simba SC on a 3-0 aggregate score was awarded E1 million for claiming the ‘holy grail’ of local football.

The first round ‘carrot’, which was won by Royal Leopard has also seen an increment of E20 000. This year’s 2025/26 first round winners will pocket E120 000.

The Polycarp Dlamini-chaired organisation has increased the participation fees for all the Premier League teams, as they are now guaranteed E110 000. The PLE gave the teams E100 000 to participate in the league last season.

The league Player of the Season will receive E17 000, which is E2 000 more than what was won by Nsingizni Hotspurs star Yeki ‘Madumane’ Khumalo.

The Player of the Month reward has shot up from E6 000 to E7 000.

On the other hand, the PLE, as announced during the 2025/26 MTN Premier League sponsorship launch, will introduce an award that recognises development.
