Lubulini – Last Friday marked the official launch of Bethlem TV, a dynamic movement founded by Siyabonga Dlamini of Lubulini, Lubombo.
The initiative aims to empower young people through various forms of art, including music, poetry and other creative expressions.
Speaking during the launch, Dlamini described Bethlem TV as a platform designed to nurture, develop and showcase local talent. The movement’s vision is to create opportunities for young artists to reach regional, national and eventually international audiences.
“Our goal is to give young people a voice and a stage,” said Dlamini. “We want to see their talents not only recognised locally, but also celebrated beyond our borders.”
To achieve this, Bethlem TV plans to establish its own recording studio, as well as host regional and national art showcases. These events will serve as exposure platforms for upcoming artists, who will be directly recruited and featured by the movement.
Dlamini also made a heartfelt appeal to the nation, the Lubulini community and private sector partners for support. He emphasised that developing the arts is a collective responsibility that can bring long-term social and economic benefits.
“If we can learn to invest in our own people, we will discover how gifted this nation truly is,” he said.
“Many young stars struggle to access opportunities because of limited resources and the high costs of studio production. Bethlem TV is here to bridge that gap.”
