MBABANE – The Eswatini music landscape is currently buzzing with excitement following the release of the ‘Siyabonga Gogo’ remix by Sanchiezy.

Featuring renowned artists Lodanda, Young Zesh and the Limkokwing Choir, the remix dropped on Saturday, December 20, 2025.

It arrived accompanied by a captivating visualiser that has already amassed over 50 000 views on YouTube, signalling a massive hit for the local industry.

Sanchiezy, the mastermind behind this vibrant reimagining, shared an intimate look into the creative journey that brought the project to life.

He reflected on the initial spark of inspiration, stating: “Before the sit-down and coding of the remix, I had a question, can a beautiful thing be made even more beautiful? After the recording session of the remix, my answer is yes,” he said.

The idea for the remix was ignited during a memorable performance by the Limkokwing Choir at their university graduation ceremony. Sancheziey was deeply moved by the choir’s rendition, which added a unique and hauntingly beautiful dimension to the composition. “The choir gave me a taste that I couldn’t rest. They made the song sound different in a very beautiful way,” he explained. This encounter sparked the decision to incorporate the choir’s powerful, culturally resonant vocals into the official remix.

A significant highlight of the track is the involvement of Lodanda, a legendary figure in Eswatini’s music scene whose voice carries profound emotional weight. Sancheziey revealed the challenges and pure thrill surrounding this collaboration.

“Having the idea that I can access the choir, I thought of the Legendary Lodanda, with no idea how I even get to her, as I only knew her music not her. Collaboration with her has always been a pending dream,” he said.

Thanks to the facilitation by Lindelwa Mafa, this dream was realised, marking Lodanda’s triumphant return to the recording studio after a hiatus dating back to 2015.
