MBABANE – Nkosinathi ‘Bhubesi’ Sihlongonyane delivered a masterclass on the baize this past weekend, pocketing a remarkable singles double at the same venue in emphatic fashion.
In the opening fixture at the Manzini Pool Club, Bhubesi showed sharp cue control and tactical awareness to see off Bharuka with a convincing 7–5 victory. He dictated the pace of play, stringing together crucial frames and keeping his composure in the closing stages.
He carried that momentum into the second contest, where he faced a sterner test against Siziba. In a tightly-contested clash that went down to the wire, Bhubesi held his nerve under pressure, edging the encounter 7–6 in a final-frame decider. His break-building and safety play proved decisive when it mattered most.
Securing two titles back-to-back at the same venue is no small feat, and Bhubesi’s consistency, shot selection and mental strength set him apart across both competitions. Crowning the weekend as a double champion, Sihlongonyane once again stamped his authority on the local pool scene, proving he is a force to be reckoned with.
