MBABANE – Government has officially launched the Royal Signature Expo and Mega Raffle, positioning the initiative as a premium platform aimed at driving high-end investment and elevating Eswatini’s presence in global luxury markets.

The launch, led by Minister for Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo at the Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS), marked what government described as a strategic shift towards engaging with international markets at a higher level, while supporting key national infrastructure projects.

Khumalo said the Royal Signature Expo 2026 represents a significant evolution in how the country positions itself globally, particularly within the premium and ultra-luxury segments of the economy.

“It is indeed an honour to formally introduce the Royal Signature Expo 2026, alongside the launch of the Royal Signature Mega Raffle,” said Khumalo. “Today, we transition from conceptualising this platform to implementing it.”

He noted that the initiative comes at a symbolic time, as the country prepares to celebrate His Majesty King Mswati III’s birthday and mark 40 years of his reign, a period he said has been characterised by national progress and expanding global presence.

Khumalo explained that the Mega Raffle forms part of a broader strategy to enhance participation and extend the reach of the expo beyond traditional business circles.

“The mega raffle is not a standalone feature. It forms part of a broader ecosystem designed to generate momentum, stimulate engagement and expand the reach and impact of the Royal Signature platform,” he said.

Proceeds from the raffle are expected to exceed E200 million and will be directed towards the completion of the five-star hotel in Ezulwini, a project government views as critical to strengthening the country’s tourism and hospitality sector.

The minister emphasised that the success of the initiative would depend on collaboration between the public and private sectors.

“As government, we are committed to ensuring that the necessary policy frameworks, coordination mechanisms and enabling environment are in place,” he said.

Khumalo further highlighted that the Expo has been designed as an exclusive, invitation-led platform that will bring together global luxury brands, leading African enterprises and selected local companies already demonstrating excellence.

Scheduled for April 25 to 27, 2026, the Expo will coincide with the unveiling of the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Ezulwini, positioning the facility as a world-class venue for high-level engagements.

“This convergence is not incidental, it is intentional,” he said.

He outlined the key objectives of the expo as showcasing Eswatini’s industrial capability, facilitating high-value connections and unlocking new economic opportunities.

By placing local enterprises alongside global luxury brands, Khumalo said the platform affirms the country’s readiness to compete at the highest level.
