MBABANE – South African tactician Selaotse ‘Sly’ Mosala has transformed Mbabane Highlanders into an unstoppable force, remaining unbeaten in seven matches since taking charge.

Mosala, a former Black Leopards coach, took the reins from Ernest Mavuso, who served as an assistant coach for the national team Sihlangu before he resigned as Highlanders coach. Since joining the ‘Black Bull’ during the second round of the league on March 3, 2026, the South African gaffer has engineered a remarkable turnaround. Under his leadership, the club has enjoyed a seven-match unbeaten streak, securing five victories and two draws.

This resurgence has injected 17 points into the Highlanders’ campaign, with the squad finding the back of the net 17 times during his short tenure. These statistics reflect a significant shift in both momentum and attacking prowess.

The club’s impressive run of form has seen them climb to fourth position in the MTN Premier League standings, following a clinical 2-0 victory over Ubombo FC on Friday at Mayaluka Stadium. Mosala is performing wonders at a critical juncture, steadying the ship and instilling a winning culture that has the fans dreaming of a strong finish. His ability to stabilise the squad following the coaching transition has proven to be the spark the team needed to remain competitive at the top end of the table.

With only four matches remaining in the season, the stakes could not be higher. Highlanders face a challenging final stretch against Tabankulu Callies, Mbabane Swallows, Young Buffaloes and Rangers FC. As the league reaches its conclusion, all eyes will be on the former Black Leopards man to see if he can maintain his undefeated record and secure a prestigious finish for the capital city giants.
