MBABANE – Orlando Pirates Eswatini supporters gathered for a vibrant celebration marking a historic treble-winning season.
The event was staged at The XChange Lounge & Shisanyama in Ngwane Park this past Saturday. The event allowed the local faithful to toast a phenomenal 2025/26 campaign for the Soweto giants. On the pitch, the ‘Sea Robbers’ enjoyed a sensational domestic clean sweep, dramatically capturing the Betway Premiership title to break Mamelodi Sundowns’ eight-year stranglehold, alongside triumphs in the MTN8 and the Carling Cup.
In a statement filled with gratitude, Eswatini Supporters Chairman Zama Tsabedze thanked the fans who contributed financially and turned up in numbers to make the event an unforgettable success. He also extended deep appreciation to the host venue for their warm hospitality.
However, Tsabedze emphasised that the festivities are just the beginning of a grander vision. He noted that formalising an official Orlando Pirates branch in Eswatini remains a primary objective, an achievement that demands active commitment and dedication from the entire local fan base.
Beyond footballing success, the supporters’ structure aims to transition into a vehicle for community development. Tsabedze outlined ambitions to use their growing collective strength for charitable donations and outreach initiatives, asserting a desire to change lives off the pitch just as passionately as they support the team on it.
Meantime, the chairman made a sincere plea for mutual respect, kindness and unity to ensure their digital and physical interaction spaces remain safe, welcoming and positive. Tsabedze further celebrated the influx of new members to their communication platforms.
