The Alphsz-B2B Cycle Tour 2025, organized by our dedicated team, was a triumphant celebration of cycling, community and Eswatini’s vibrant hospitality. This year’s event, culminating at Lavumisa Border Post, saw an impressive 196 entries, with 165 riders starting from Lukhula, Manzini, Sikhuphe, and Ngwenya Border Post. The flagship 240km Ngwenya-to-Lavumisa ride achieved its highest-ever turnout, with over 50 participants, including 30 international cyclists from South Africa (Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal, Gauteng), Zimbabwe, Lesotho and Mozambique, highlighting the tour’s growing appeal as a tourist magnet.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to our main sponsor, Alphsz, whose strategic investment and E100 000 contribution made this event accessible at just E200 per entry, delivering exceptional value. We also extend our deepest appreciation to our partners: Eswatini Ministry of Public Works, Eswatini Tourism Authority, Sincephetelo MVA Fund, Viva Beverages, Municipal Council of Manzini and Emaswayi Media. Their collective efforts ensured a seamless, safe and memorable experience. Special thanks to our sponsors- Remin Sportswear, B3 Group Eswatini, Kamsholo Bushveld Safaris, Mormond Electrical Contractors, Jenny Internet, Treetops Game Resort and MTN Eswatini, whose contributions elevated the event to new heights.

This year’s edition embraced a new initiative to promote Special Olympics Eswatini, a probably- underappreciated organisation locally, but an amazing movement globally, dedicated to empowering young children and adults through sports, art and cultural activities. We were honoured to have two Special Olympics athletes participate in the tour, partially, showcasing their inspiring determination. The tour is committed to leveraging its platform to raise awareness of this impactful organisation and encourage contributions through volunteering, opportunities and donations to support their mission.

In keeping with tradition, the tour also made a meaningful donation to the Lavumisa Town Board, providing food hampers for local soup kitchens and schools, reinforcing our commitment to uplifting the communities that host us.

The event’s success was evident in the joy and camaraderie among riders. The free-timed format fostered inclusivity, uniting cyclists of varying fitness levels in a fun, wholesome journey through Eswatini’s scenic routes. Tourists were captivated by the warmth of emaSwati’s hospitality, with many pledging to return with friends to share this unforgettable experience. The CEO of the Eswatini Tourism Authority, completing his first cycle tour, praised the event’s potential and committed to promoting it to global cycling enthusiasts, amplifying its reach for 2026.

Safety was paramount, thanks to Sincephetelo MVA Fund, which provided a water stop in Lukhula, reflective vests and an accident prevention backup vehicle from Ngwenya to Lavumisa, supported by the Royal Eswatini Police Service across all regions. The Municipal Council of Manzini delighted riders with breakfast at Jubilee Park, while Viva Beverages ensured hydration with water at every station and flavoured water at the finish line, complemented by a hearty meal from B3 Group Eswatini.

The Alphsz-B2B Cycle Tour showcased Eswatini’s generosity, stunning landscapes and vibrant spirit, leaving participants eager for next year’s edition. Our organising team is already planning to make the 2026 tour bigger, safer and even more exciting. Stay tuned for the date and registration details, to be announced soon.

“Thank you to all who made this year’s event a remarkable success. Here’s to cycling together again in 2026.”
