FROM the bottom of Brackenhill to the top and around, this Sunday hike is perfect for the whole family. The walk snakes towards the massive granite domes that extend beyond the Sibebe outcrop.
The adventure begins at Bon Accord on Mountain Drive, where you’ll climb to the top of Brackenhill for breathtaking views. The trail then descends towards the open rocks opposite Sibebe, a bare rock offering impressive views of Sibebe itself.
This vantage point of Sibebe’s southern part will help you understand why it’s considered the largest exposed granite rock in the world.
The walk back to the cars takes you through the rainforest, known for its delicate streptocarpus flowers in summer. This walk is approximately 4km and includes a hill climb, but the rest is gentle. It’s suitable for dogs, but please keep them on a lead and be considerat of other hikers.
Make sure to wear comfortable hiking boots with wool socks for better cushioning.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Meet at the Theatre Club at 7:30am for departure at 7:45am, or at Bon Accord at 8am.
Travel time is approximately 15 minutes each way.
