Fitness has a way of revealing what discipline, passion and patience can build. It doesn’t matter where you start, the gym has a unique power to reshape your confidence, your mindset and your entire future.
For some, it’s a hobby. For others, it becomes a lifestyle and a calling. When you meet Luyanda Dlamini for the first time, you might assume he’s been sculpting his body for decades. His physique carries the maturity, discipline and power of a seasoned athlete, but his age might just surprise you.
Known in gym circles as ‘King’s Man,’ he is one of Eswatini’s rising stars in bodybuilding, proving that passion and consistency can transform not just a body, but an entire lifestyle. “I started this beautiful bodybuilding journey back in 2016,” he said. Growing up, he described himself as a ‘very skinny child,’ until one life-changing moment redirected his path. “One day, I saw a video on Facebook showing how weightlifting can grow your body and completely transform your look. I was captivated.” Today, Dlamini trains with purpose, structure and a deep understanding of what works best for his body. For chest development, he relies on dumbbell presses. “I feel like they grow my chest better,” he explained. His workouts often pair chest with triceps and shoulders to build that broad, powerful upper body he’s known for. For legs, he sticks to squats, leg extensions and leg presses to shape the muscles and enhance texture. And for overall strength, deadlifts remain a staple. “They help strengthen my back,” he added.
Despite his impressive form, he keeps his diet simple. “To be honest, I don’t have a specific diet. I can’t afford that type of lifestyle,” he admitted. But he remains mindful: “As a bodybuilder, what you eat is important.” With a naturally high metabolism, he burns calories faster than most, making muscle gain a rewarding challenge. For, ‘King’s Man,’ fitness is more than physical change, it’s life transformation. “Working out can slow your aging, it changes your personality, makes you disciplined and super hygienic,” he said.
He believes the gym builds confidence, protects young people from harmful distractions and offers a powerful way to refresh the mind after long, stressful days. At just 22 years old, King’s Man is living proof that discipline, passion and resilience can reshape a life and inspire a generation.
