Then Swaziland Building Society (SBS) is the solution. It is simple, all you need to do is open a Sipatji Salary Account, a comprehensive all-in-one solution designed to provide unparalleled convenience and financial control.

“This account allows customers to receive their salaries and conduct real-time transactions,” says Wesley Groening, Head of Distribution.

He invites emaSwati to open this account to access other services such as Loan, Debit Card, ePocket, Banking App, Cellphone Banking, ATM Services and Funeral Cover.

It offers super convenience: You can send or receive money instantly among banks and mobile wallets.

To open the account, you need to produce:

  • E50 minimum deposit
  • Certified copy of Eswatini ID
  • Proof of income
  • Proof of residence (water bill, electricity bill, rates bill or lease agreement) not older than three months.

For non-Swati nationals: Passport, work/residence permit or dependent permit is required

The society also provides customers an option to open the account online without queuing at the branch on https://kyc.sbs.co.sz/#/ or follow these few steps

Step 1 – SMS the words ‘Account Opening’ to the number 3000.

Step 2 – On response message received from SBS, click secure link generated for access.

Step 3 – Enter the required personal details to complete your application online.

Individual clients are required to upload the following documents along with their application:

Copy of Eswatini national identity document (ID)

Proof of residence (such as a utility bill, rental invoice or telephone billing account, third party utility bill with physical address and not older than 3 months

Payslip (not older than 3 months)

For non-Swati nationals; passport, work/ residence permit or dependent permit

Once the application has been successfully submitted, you will receive a call from SBS to confirm the account activation.
