Siphelelele Dlamini, Founder of Lelihle Chillies, is steadily building a name for herself in the production of premium chilli products.
Lelihle Chillies is an agricultural and food processing enterprise specialising in the cultivation of high-quality cayenne peppers and the production of locally- made hot sauce. What sets the brand apart is its hands-on approach, controlling every stage of production; from planting and harvesting to processing and packaging.
“Our process ensures freshness, quality and authenticity in every bottle,” said Dlamini. The business, which started on a small scale with only a limited number of chilli plants and basic homemade processing, has grown into a structured operation. Today, it boasts increased production capacity and a steadily expanding customer base.
Dlamini revealed that her vision is to position Lelihle Chillies as a leading Eswatini-based brand, capable of competing both locally and internationally. Her mission is anchored in sustainable farming practices, while delivering high-quality products and contributing to the country’s economic development.
“We aim to grow and produce premium chilli products while creating value for our customers and supporting local economic growth,” she said. The company provides cayenne pepper hot sauce made from freshly grown chillies, catering to both individuals and businesses seeking authentic and flavourful locally produced sauces. Maintaining consistent quality remains a top priority, alongside actively listening to customer feedback.
Customer satisfaction, according to Dlamini, is central to the business. “We are always striving to improve our product and ensure our clients receive the best quality,” she said. Beyond production, Dlamini emphasises the importance of leadership and workplace culture. She describes herself as a hands-on, growth-oriented leader who believes in continuous learning and teamwork. “I lead by example by staying passionate, consistent and focused. Encouraging teamwork and celebrating small wins helps build a positive environment,” she added. Like many entrepreneurs, her journey has not been without challenges. Financial constraints, market competition and moments of self-doubt have tested her resilience. However, she maintains that persistence and adaptability are key to overcoming such obstacles. She encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs to remain committed and patient in their pursuits. “Challenges are part of the journey, but resilience will carry you through,” she advised. Although she did not initially envision herself in her current position, Dlamini always had a desire to build something meaningful. Her passion for agriculture, combined with a drive to contribute to her community, continues to fuel her success.
