MBABANE – Amapiano sensation Zee Nxumalo expanded her profile beyond music with a new McDonald’s campaign.
The 23-year-old features in the company’s latest MC wrap advertisement, where she changes her look while promoting four flavours.
The campaign brings her music, fashion and playful personality into a commercial setting, adding another chapter to her growing profile beyond the stage. Nxumalo shared the campaign on social media, encouraging followers to choose their favourite MC wrap through the McDonald’ s App.
She also joked about the demands of her new role, writing, “The face of McDonald’s is exhausted,” read the comment on her Facebook page.
The light- hearted comment reflects the personality she has continued to show while building a strong connection with her audience.
The campaign follows her recent partnership with NIVEA Luminous 630 Skin Glow, where she is linked to a message of confidence and self-expression. “Stay confident in your skin,” she said during the campaign, highlighting a message that has become part of her public image.
Her growing commercial profile has also reached fashion and lifestyle media.
Nxumalo recently featured on the cover of Glamour South Africa, adding to her visibility beyond music and placing her among young entertainers attracting attention from major brands.
Born Zandile Nxumalo on January 6, in the kingdom, she later moved with her family to Johannesburg, where she grew up in Alexandra. Her musical journey started at a young age before she found her place in Amapiano. She released her debut EP, ‘KwaNxumalo,’ in 2022 and later gained wider attention through collaborations.
One of her key breakthroughs came with Funk 55 alongside Shakes& Les, DBNGogo, Ceeka RSA and Chley, which helped strengthen her presence in the genre. Nxumalo has since worked with artists including Pa bi Cooper, 031Choppa and Dlala Thukzin while continuing to develop her own sound and public image.
Her move into major brand campaign snow adds another side to that career. She is also scheduled to headline the Farmers Market at Mal kerns Country Club on October 10, bringing her music back to local audiences.
