MBABANE – The Association of Christian Artists in Eswatini (ACAESWA) has escalated its clash with the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC).

This was through the issuing a Letter of Demand that threatens legal action and demands the immediate halt of new national Gospel initiatives.

The letter, issued on Thursday, September 25, 2025, requires ENCAC to set a meeting with the ACAESWA Board before tomorrow.

ACAESWA’s core demand is that ENCAC immediately halt the operations of the newly formed National Gospel Association and the launch of the proposed Gospel Awards. The association argues these must be suspended pending the resolution of its longstanding issues with the council.

ACAESWA alleges that its members were ‘publicly and harshly removed’ from the association, leading to the formation of the new bodies, which the artists’ body says have created pending issues within the sector.

The Letter of Demand gave the ENCAC Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Stanley Dlamini, until yesterday to respond to the demands. Failure to comply will result in the immediate commencement of legal proceedings.
