In the Kingdom of Eswatini, the journey of a lifestyle content creator and influencer exemplifies dedication and resilience.
Silindzelwe Nxumalo, popularly known as Tebelelihle among her social media family and YouTube followers, “I am a lifestyle content creator”, who has carved a niche for herself as an award-winning content creator. Her story reflects the influence of strong family foundations and the importance of pursuing passion within a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Born as the first of three daughters in Manzini, Nxumalo was raised by parents who have dedicated their careers to education. Her mother served as a primary school teacher, while her father was a lecturer. “They are both retired now”. Their careers and values deeply inspired Nxumalo, instilling in her a desire for education and a drive to attain her goals. Their unwavering support and belief in her ambitions have been fundamental in shaping her path to becoming a full-time influencer and YouTuber.
Nxumalo’s early education took place at Nkwene Primary School, followed by secondary schooling at Lechwelight High School. She completed her high school studies at Manzini Nazarene High School. Her academic background, coupled with her supportive family environment, laid the groundwork for her pursuit of a career in content creation.
Presently, Nxumalo dedicates herself entirely to her craft as a contract content creator, influencer and YouTuber within Eswatini. Her passion for the creative process is evident in her enthusiasm for all stages of content production. From brainstorming ideas to executing shoots, she finds joy in the entire journey, believing that this process fuels her passion and commitment to her craft.
Though she does not describe herself as a fashion enthusiast, Nxumalo enjoys dressing well and maintaining a wardrobe that is versatile and suited to all styles and colours. “Dressing up for my body and looking good is always a good mood activator”. She considers her wardrobe a collection of pieces that are not necessarily worn immediately, but are bought with the confidence that they will come in handy.
Beyond her influence in lifestyle content, Nxumalo recognises her talent in travel blogging, a pursuit she admits has been somewhat neglected. Her love for travelling serves as a source of comfort and inspiration.
She has visited several notable locations within Eswatini, including the Happy Valley Hotel, the Farm at Hawane, Simunye Country Club, Maguga Dam, Mhlume Country Club, Treetops and the Hilton Garden Inn. She supports Eswatini Tourism’s festive season campaign, acknowledging the country’s many hidden gems.
She believes that influencer marketing can play a vital role in educating both local and international visitors about the beauty of Eswatini. Tebelelihle believes that these coming holidays are to be spent with family, “The festive holidays are for home and being with family for me.”
Reflecting on her aspirations for 2025, Nxumalo reveals that she did not craft a vision board at the start of the year. Her initial focus was on navigating a difficult period, which left her unmotivated. However, as the year progressed, she experienced a series of successes that exceeded her expectations, including signing with Savanna Eswatini and securing ongoing contracts.
