MBABANE – Local Afro Pop star Sancheziey, also known as Salukazana, is set to unleash the remix of his hit song, ‘Siyabonga Gogo’.

The original track, a powerful and heartfelt homage to Eswatini’s musical heritage and the wisdom of grandmothers, is set to receive a grand collaborative treatment featuring the distinct talents of Lodanda, Young Zesh and the Limkokwing University Choir. The remix was recorded at the National Council of  Arts and Culture studios in Manzini on December 9, 2025.

Sancheziey, whose sound is celebrated for its unique blend of traditional Swati rhythms, Afro Pop beats  and Hip Hop flows, has strategically selected his collaborators to amplify the song’s core message of gratitude and cultural pride.

Sancheziey, explaining how the collaboration came about, mentioned that from the preparation of the Limkokwing University graduation, where they were supposed to render an item during the final event, the choir gave him a taste that he could not resist.  “The choir made the song sound different in a very beautiful way. I also thought of the legendary Lodanda, with no idea how I could even get to her, because I only knew her music, not her personally.

“The collaboration with her has always been a pending dream, and thank you to Lindelwa Mafa for connecting my team with her for negotiations.  The last time she was on a booth was in 2015, that on its own is everything to us having to introduce her back to the music scene.

“Lodanda in the song brings this emotional touch that will take every listener to moments with their grandmother. Lastly, we have Young Zesh on the song, my brother is having serious musical runs in the country. He added the fashionable Hip Hop flows while in line with the beautiful culture of ‘Kucelwa’,” he said.

He elaborated that the idea was to have a full cultural set at the recording session to echo how the Salukazana brand has been in embracing the beauty of Swati culture.

“Thank you to Nhlanganiso Mabhodweni for making sure that happens,” he said. During the recording session, a visualiser was being shot same time.

“The visualiser will be released on December 20, 2025 with the song. The remix is a collaborative effort of two producers, Tus Mvuleni from Emadlelweni Music and SeanCast HQ, with MegaSounds Records doing the visualiser and Ejal’dini Studios doing the pictures for the session.
