MBABANE – Instacash and Joma Sports SA are going big on the next generation of football stars.

The companies have dropped a massive E650 000 sponsorship bombshell for the Eswatini Schools Sports Association (ESSA) 2026 Schools Soccer Tournament.

The tournament received this major fillip yesterday during a high-profile launch at Sigwaca House. The event drew key stakeholders, including ESSA President Zakhele Myeni, Ministry of Education and Training Senior Inspector Bongani Siyaya and Jabu Sithole, North West University’s Manager of Activations and Sponsorship.

Also present were lead sponsor Instacash Director Mandla ‘Chicks’ Nxumalo and Joma Sports SA General Manager Philani Xaba.

Speaking at the launch, Senior Inspector Bongani Siyaya offered heartfelt appreciation for the financial backing.

“We truly appreciate the support from our sponsors, as we know that resources are often a limiting factor,” Siyaya said. “We are offering children a quality education and we want them to graduate with lifelong skills. This is why we have introduced Physical Education and sports in schools from Grade 8, and we look forward to a successful season.”

Instacash Director Mandla ‘Chicks’ Nxumalo emphasised the company’s commitment to excellence and growth. “If you do something, do it right. We started small, but our hard work has paid off. We promised a 10 per cent increase and we are delivering,” Nxumalo stated.

He noted that last year the sponsorship was E410 000, while this year it has risen to E450 000, with Joma Sports providing over E150 000 worth of goods and kits.
