NHLANGANO – Rangers Head Coach Mthunzi Ginindza has warned Nsingizini Hotspurs that the MTN Premier League title will not be handed over without a fight

The two sides prepare for a high-stakes Shiselweni derby to be played tomorrow. The clash, which has established itself as one of the premier fixtures in the domestic football calendar, is scheduled for the King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium in Nhlangano. Speaking during the pre-match build-up, the former Manzini Wanderers assistant coach made it clear that Rangers intend to put the brakes on their rivals’ title celebrations.

Ginindza insisted his side will do everything on the pitch to claim their first-ever victory over the defending champions, potentially denying Nsingizini the chance to clinch the league with two matches to spare.

“It would bring immense joy to the Rangers family to break that record, especially as our rivals have just won the Ingwenyama Cup,” Ginindza said. He added that beyond the points, bragging rights are at stake, questioning why his side shouldn’t be the ones to halt Nsingizini’s momentum in Shiselweni.

The former Mbabane Highlanders mentor confirmed that preparations are well underway, though one player will miss out due to a yellow card suspension. He noted that Rangers have punched well above their weight this term, amassing 39 points compared to the 22 they managed in the previous campaign.
