MBABANE – The Bokamoso Arts Institute is bringing its regional concert tour to Eswatini, with a major performance scheduled to take place at Esibayeni Lodge on August 8, from 1pm.

The extensive tour, which commenced successfully in Botswana in July, celebrates the incredible power of music to connect different people and diverse cultures across Southern Africa. Organisers have promised a memorable afternoon of cultural exchange and high-quality entertainment for all music lovers in the country.

The concert will showcase a diverse Choral repertoire featuring both Sacred and Contemporary works that highlight the choir’s musical excellence and artistic versatility. Attendees can look forward to a premium display of vocal talent that transcends borders.

A special highlight of the Eswatini performance will be the collaboration with renowned local composers, including Dr Hugh Donald Magagula, Menzi Gule, Melisizwe Zwane and Mlungisi Goodwill Dlamini, who will be conducting the Bokamoso choir.

This collaboration celebrates the rich musical heritage of Eswatini, while fostering meaningful cultural exchange between artists from across the region. Each of these conductors will have an opportunity to conduct the choir at the concert, providing a unique platform for local maestros to showcase their skills alongside international talent. The Bokamoso Arts Institute remains deeply committed to nurturing young artistic talent and using the performing arts as a vehicle for education, cultural appreciation and community development. Through such initiatives, the institute aims to build sustainable creative industries across the African continent.

The choir looks forward to sharing an inspiring musical experience with the people of Eswatini, and it appreciates the warm welcome extended by the local community, organisers and collaborating composers.
