MBABANE – The KwaMagogo Legacy Run, set for August 8, 2026, has revealed its prize packages for the 15th edition of their road race.
A total of E31 240 will be up for grabs across the different categories in the 21km and 10km races. The prize breakdown has been confirmed by organisers Golden Foot Club (GFC), who are keen to get runners back on the road after the short mid-year break.
The 10km category offers E11 440 in prize money, while the half-marathon carries a purse of E19 800. Cash will be awarded down to fifth place in the elite categories of both races, with top performers in the junior, veteran, master and grandmaster divisions also walking away with prizes.
In the 21km, the champion will pocket E3 300, while the 10km winner will take home E2 200.
GFC President Tokky Hou said registration numbers had already hit the 600 mark by yesterday. There will also be a trophy for the largest corporate and club contingent on race day.
Hou also encouraged both competitive and social runners to seize the opportunity and enter, saying that Monday would be the final day of registration.
This will be done so goody bags collections begin on Thursday. She further stated there will be no late entries accepted on race day.
On another note, the president mentioned that slots remain available for 90 pupils from the Manzini Region’s schools. The organisers paid for these young runners from the host city, giving them the chance to take part and return to their schools as ambassadors of healthy living through road running.
