MBABANE – Taster FC defied the odds to win the Build it EFA Siphofaneni Under-13 Championship.
They edged tournament favourites Inshasport FC 4–3 on penalties after a goalless final at Siphofaneni Sports Ground.
Taster built their championship run on a rock-solid defence, scoring three goals in five matches and keeping four clean sheets.
In a tense final, Inshasport dominated possession and created pressure, but Taster stood firm to force the match into a penalty shoot-out.
The underdogs kept their composure to secure a memorable 4–3 victory and lift the championship trophy.
Inshasport’s impressive campaign was reflected in the individual awards, with Shepard Dlamini and Bakhe Simelane finishing as joint top scorers with three goals each.
The Siphofaneni championship is part of the Build it EFA Under-13 programme, which continues to provide grassroots players with competitive opportunities and platforms for talent identification across Eswatini.
Melokuhle Dlamini was further rewarded by Build it Siphofaneni with a brand-new bicycle for his outstanding tournament performance.
