MBABANE — Eswatini’s capital is bracing itself for a vibrant injection of urban energy as the City of Mbabane sets the stage for the Mbabane Day 2026.

Mbabane is getting ready for an exciting day of fun, music and community spirit as the city prepares for Mbabane Day 2026. Hosted by the Municipal Council of Mbabane, this event will take place on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at the Coronation Park. Starting at 11am and run until late, the open-air festival invites residents and visitors of all ages to celebrate together under the inspiring theme, ‘Our City. One Community. One Day’.

This upcoming celebration follows the massive success of Mbabane Day 2025, which turned Coronation Park into a lively hub of community pride. Led by Mayor Thulani Mkhonto and CEO Gciniwe Fakudze, last year’s event featured amazing live music from popular local artists such as Nothando Hlophe, Sands and Velemseni. Alongside the music, attendees enjoyed traditional local dishes, international street food, interactive sports like boxing and basketball and a golf tournament. Even a brief afternoon rain shower could not stop the joyful energy, proving the event to be a wonderful celebration of urban life in Eswatini’s capital.

Building directly on that strong foundation, Mbabane Day 2026 promises to be even bigger and better. The carefully planned program includes dynamic live performances, diverse food markets, engaging sports challenges and dedicated family zones. These activities highlight the continuous growth and unity of the city.

As the countdown to the big day begins, everyone is invited to mark their calendars for a memorable experience. Mbabane Day 2026 is more than just a festival; it is a proud reminder of the strong connections within the community. Whether you want to enjoy great music, taste delicious food, or spend quality time with family in a beautiful park setting, Coronation Park is the place to be this October.
