MBABANE – The Minister for Public Service, Mabulala Maseko, has announced the appointment of a new Board of Trustees for the Public Service Pensions Fund (PSPF), effective July 1, 2025.

The 10-member board comprises an equal number of employer and employee representatives, reflecting a balanced and inclusive approach to the governance of the fund, which oversees retirement benefits for thousands of public servants in the kingdom.

According to a statement released by the fund, the appointments form part of an ongoing commitment to upholding sound governance, providing strategic oversight and safeguarding the long-term interests of civil servants.

The employer representatives are as follows: Vusi Dlamini, Sammy Dlamini, Bathandwa Hlatshwayo, Phiwayinkhosi Ginindza and Phetsile Masilela. Employee representatives include Bawinile Ndlovu, Dominic Nxumalo, Nokuthula Hlophe, Bonginkosi Msibi and Nhlanhla Bheki Zwane.

During the inauguration, Minister Maseko welcomed the new board members and highlighted that managing the fund is a national responsibility entrusted by His Majesty the King. He called on the trustees to fulfil their duties with integrity, professionalism and a clear focus on sustainability.

“The work of the fund is a national responsibility. It must be exercised with diligence, honesty, confidentiality and a shared commitment to the future,” said the minister.

The fund noted that several trustees are returning members, ensuring continuity and institutional memory. The board is tasked with ensuring that the goal of a dignified retirement for all civil servants remains central.

The PSPF congratulated the newly-appointed members and expressed its readiness to work collaboratively with the Board in delivering value to members and maintaining public confidence.
