MBABANE – Gear up for the country’s flagship marathon race!
As the the countdown to the Imbube Marathon continues, the interest in the race is huge. Set for Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Somhlolo National Stadium in Eswatini, the event has only 891 places remaining across its 10km, 21km and 42km categories, raising the prospect of a sell-out.
Organised by the Eswatini National Provident Fund (ENPF), the Imbube Marathon has cemented its status as a cornerstone of the nation’s running scene, seamlessly blending competitive racing with community spirit.
Current figures indicate 291 spots remain for the 10km, 274 for the 21km and 326 for the full 42km marathon. Entry fees range from E260 to E315, with a 3.3km fun run offered at no cost.
Runners who missed the early registration deadline on June 30 now face a E50 surcharge for entries submitted between July 1 and August 30, 2025.
Mid-registration at standard rates closes on August 30, with late registration—incurring an additional E100 penalty—running from September 1 to October 3, 2025.
